Why Can't I See Class Information?

If you only see general school information, and no information about your student's classes when you sign in to School-Day, double check that you have a student linked to your account.To check, use the 'Display All Students' drop-down list on the left side of your Parent Dashboard. If you don't see a student's name listed there, you'll have to add a student to your account.To add a student, click 'Add Student' on the left side of your Parent Dashboard and follow the instructions listed. Or, if you need to add more than one student, you will have a blue Plus sign at the bottom of your Dashboard.

How do I Reset My Password?

To retrieve a lost password, please go to the School-Day login page and just below the sign in box, click on the Forgot your password link . On the next page, enter the email address you used to register with School-Day and click Request. A link will be sent to your email account. It may take several minutes for this email to arrive, and be sure to check your spam filter if you do not get the email in due course. Once you receive the email, click on the link within it, and you will be redirected to create a new password. You will then be prompted to sign in to your account using this new password.

How Do I Manage Email Notifications?

To manage your email notifications, click on the gear icon on the bottom left of your dashboard, then click on Edit Profile. On the next screen, Select 'No' under the Email Notifications section and click 'Update'. You will no longer receive email updates from your school.

How do I Add a Student to my Account?

To add another student to your account, you can either click on the blue plus sign in the lower left corner of your dashboard, and then click Student. Alternatively, you can click on ADD STUDENT from your home dashboard which is just above the drop down menu where you select any students already linked to your account.

Next, you can add your student using their unique Secure-Match Key, or by Electronic Authentication. Due to privacy rules, School-Day cannot release your Secure-Match key. But if you contact your school administrator, they will be able to give you a key once they verify you are the legal guardian of the student.

To add your student using this method, follow these steps:

  • Click on 'Add Student' from the left-hand side of your dashboard.
  • Below the Secure-Match Key area, you'll see a line that says 'If you do not have a Secure-Match™ Key, you can try Electronic Authentication instead.' Click on the Electronic Authentication link.
  • This will take you to a form asking you to provide several pieces of information about your student to confirm your identity. Your entries must match school board records exactly.
  • Once you have completed the form correctly, you will be matched with your student
  • Please note the Electronic Authentication process does not apply to Junior Kindergarten students. In these cases, you will need to contact your school administrator for a Secure-Match Key.
